An Open Letter to Christians

Love?

Where is the love?

Where will the “Love movement” start?

As Christians, we must avoid the desensitization of all we see. It has become so commonplace that we only temporarily grieve these things; this has hardened our hearts.

We look the other way, the other direction.

We, at times, look upon all this and tell ourselves that it’s ok because I’m not doing those grievous acts of violence.

We need to stop looking at the spew of hatred and selfishly encapsulate ourselves as if it’s all okay, since we ourselves didn’t do all these acts.

WWJD, anyone remember that one? Can anyone remember what Jesus did when He was on earth? Can anyone remember what He taught his closest 12 friends about treating others? He showed them Love and not hate. He showed them He was different, that there is a plan for humanity in the future and the “now.” Remember the teaching of the Good Samaritan, the lady at the well, and even the way Jesus worked with those who hated Him-

I am concerned that the Western church has forgotten this.

I’m concerned because I see nothing but pride in people’s speech and actions. The media and the evil dominions that run our world have fooled us into believing that we are right in what we say and think, just because we belong to a particular political party and its beliefs. All have turned themselves into divided identities, mainly by being from the left or the right. Shame on us!

Our identity in Christ is so much more!

Let’s remember we are not on the right or the left, we are in the middle, where the Kingdom of God exists.

What is wrong should grieve us, and seeing rapid sin in the world should make us pray and call out to The One for Redemption and help. Help us, Lord, to help others, through your power and strength, your abilities and not ours, for these things are done in the Darkness where evil persists. This hate issue that we are experiencing as Americans is of satan, and they must be recognized as such. As our Holy Bible says, these things can only be defeated through prayer, supplication, and pleading with God for help.

This starts with me, quit pointing fingers and look at yourself first, what are you doing, what are you saying, how are you acting, take a moment to accept the blame.

We’re praying for a Revival or a movement of love. This must start with you, within your own house, and with the teaching of our children and grandchildren that there is no condemnation for those who are different from Who We Are.

You must accept that it is okay if we have different opinions; we must accept that people are different, yet we’re all the same. We all have a heart, soul, and mind, and all should expect love from others, but it starts with us.

Drop to your knees today in prayer and plead to God for help in this situation. Then ask yourself, “What is God telling me to do?”

Those who call themselves Christians, are you living the way the Bible says you should live? Are you acting in such a way that you’re generating love and radiating that everywhere? Is it protruding through your body in your actions, phone calls, family interactions, and speech? It starts with you!

If God grieves sin, then why are we not grieving sin when we see it? As Christians, we should do that, for it is written.

Where is the grace and mercy coming from our end to those who are different, those who are downcast, and those with a different political view?

We all know that we pray to God for mercy and Grace daily, and he gives it to us. Yet we fail to give grace and mercy to those around us, unless you are perfect (and no one is), we have to extend grace and mercy to all, see it makes no sense that we don’t, and many Bible stories talk against that. How can we ask for help but not give help to those around us, which makes us think that we are better than anyone else when God created them as well? Shame on us.

Christian men and women, leave your comfort cocoon and make a change. Speak Life, not death. Edify and build up, don’t tear down. Who are you to do that to people? Show kindness, Reckless abandonment, and kindness to all. Give as your heart asks you to give.

As I said earlier, we all need to drop to our knees in prayer and pray that we change first, so that others can change as well, and when this happens, perhaps we will have a change if people simply follow the precepts written in our Bible. God hated hate. God hated division. God hated Pride coming from man’s voice, which, as we know, comes from the heart. The heart is deceitful above All Things, the Bible reads. Guard your mouth, and think before you speak. Are you speaking life or speaking death? It’s perfectly fine to be meek and to turn the other cheek when possible, but to fight and to show that you were falling into the world’s habits and ways should be a wake-up call to all of us individually.

Let’s take a stand today, make a change today, and commit to God that we will change and do better for his sake, above all things. Thank you for reading this. May peace and Grace fall upon you and your family today.

My discernment in this writing is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I LOVE YOU ALL!
